Trying New Flavor Combinations
This recipe features a savory chicken base with sweet red grapes, and for many this may seem like an unusual pairing.
I still remember the day I first ate a chicken salad with grapes in it. My first impression when I saw grapes in chicken salad is that it would taste awful, but I am so glad that I was wrong! Since bravely trying that suspicious looking chicken salad, it has become one of my favorite ways to fill sandwiches.
The sweet and savory combination of the chicken base and grapes don’t turn the snack bad, they add to each other’s flavor! A great example of a savory and sweet combination is salted caramel. Caramel on its own can sometimes be too sweet, and salt just on its own is just – well it’s just salty. But when you put them together they make each other better!
