Recipe of the Week: Charred Cherry Tomatoes with Lemony Yogurt

The end of August means that gardens and farmer’s markets are overflowing with amazing things to eat. Late summer is the perfect time to eat your fill of tomatoes; there are thousands of kinds, and they are all delicious. The recipe Captain Create has for you today uses cherry tomatoes, which can be grown in pots in the house or on the porch, or in a greenhouse or garden easily. Tomatoes are full of good things for your body too. Vitamins like A, C, and K, along with minerals and antioxidants. Each different color of tomato means a different mixture of vitamins, minerals, and other plant parts to make each one nutritionally different, and they are all a good source of dietary fiber. Whether you slice them into a sandwich, cook them in to sauce, or sit in the garden and eat them right off the vine, they’re good for you!
