The Best Time of the Year // Free Wintertime Family Fun

Can you believe it’s already December? December is a fun month full of snowmen, holiday traditions, breaks from school, and most of all – family fun!

Having fun with your family doesn’t have to be difficult or expensive. In fact, there are many free activities in Utah your family can explore this year! Click here for a large list of ideas from Utah’s Adventure Family. We’ve highlighted a couple of their ideas below!

HOGLE ZOO

During the winter months of November, December, January, and February, the Hogle Zoo is free to the public on the last Wednesday of the month! This special deal extends to every Wednesday of the month throughout the remainder of 2019. You'll love watching the animals in the cooler weather - they are typically more active.

TRACY AVIARY

Every 1st Wednesday in November, December, January, and February, you can explore the Tracy Aviary for just $1 a person! The Aviary teaches us about different kinds of birds through fun activities, like bird shows!

MALL PLAY AREAS

We love playgrounds! But sometimes it’s just too cold outside to go and play on them in the winter. Head to your local mall and play on their indoor playgrounds instead! Here are a few malls to check out: Layton Hills Mall, South Towne Center, University Mall, and Provo Towne Center.

WINTER ADVENTURES

Think your favorite hike is beautiful in the summertime? Try it out in the winter! Here's a list of potential hikes to try near you.

Make a bucket list of family outings you want to do this year! Enjoy spending time together with whatever activities you choose. Building strong relationships with your family will help you be happier and healthier!
