Whole Wheat Waffles

Pancakes or waffles? I’m definitely a waffle person, which is why today’s post is a delicious waffle recipe. 🙂

Did you catch the blog post about the differences in whole wheat flour and white flour? If not, click here! This recipe uses whole wheat flour but you would never know by tasting these waffles.

This recipe calls for whole wheat flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, canola oil, eggs, and buttermilk. You’ll also need a waffle iron – let it preheat while you prepare the batter.

In a bowl mix the flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder (all the dry ingredients). In a separate bowl mix together the canola oil, eggs, and buttermilk – once that is mixed, add it to the dry ingredients.

Your batter is ready to go on the waffle iron! Spray the iron with some non-stick spray before adding the batter. Let the waffle cook till its a nice golden brown – yum!

What do you like to put on top of your waffle? I like berries or a sliced banana. 😋
