Hi friends, I don’t know if you have heard or not, but family mealtime is more than just food at the table. Actual research has been done showing that there are more benefits than we thought! (stay tuned for those benefits)
Governor Herbert (the governor of Utah), saw how important family mealtime is, and last year he officially designated September as ‘Healthy Family Meals Month’!
Now that it is official, I hope you are ready to celebrate! This month will be filled with more posts, more activities, and more fun! Let’s make family meal month big! Share with your friends, your parents, your grandparents, and the neighbors, because its time to take a look at a big puzzle piece of being healthy!
So what can I do? you might be asking yourself. Well my friends, talk to your parents tonight! Tell them about Family Meal Month and how you can be part of it! Here are the first 3 steps to get started!
Step 1: Choose a number 1-90. Choose how many meals you want to pledge to eat with your family. Make sure everyone is on board, and comment below on the number you choose!
Step 2: Print out this pledge card, (or draw your own), write in your number, and put it on the fridge. If it is in plain sight it will be easier to remember!
Step 3: Choose the days you would like to have family mealtime and have your parents write it in their calendar.
