Slow Cooker Apple Cobbler

Cold days, warm cobbler–doesn’t get much better! This recipe is so yummy and easy. Great comfort food!

Slow Cooker Apple Cobbler

Apple mixture:

7-8 Apples, peeled, cored, and cut into slices (I used Granny Smith but you can use whatever)

½ cup packed brown sugar

3 Tablespoons sugar

1 ½ teaspoons cinnamon

¼ teaspoon nutmeg

¼ tsp. salt

1 cup old-fashioned oats

¾ cup whole wheat flour

¼ cup packed brown sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

¼ teaspoon salt

1 cube butter, cut into cubes

Place the apple mixture in a slow cooker sprayed with non-stick spray. Stir together with rubber spatula and let sit while you prepare the topping.

Combine topping ingredients and mix the butter in with your hands (make sure you wash your hands really well first!!!)  until the mixture clumps together. Stir the apples again and spread the topping over the top.

Cook on high for 2 hours or on low for 3 ½ hours. Turn off heat and let stand for 30 minutes to an hour before serving. Serve with ice cream if desired.

Gather your ingredients…
Wash, slice, and peel the apples…
Toss in the crock pot…
Mix it all up…
Get topping ingredients…
Mix it together…
Make a crumbly, yummy, mess with your fingers…
Toss over the apples (okay, maybe just carefully spread over the top)…

Put the magic lid on…
Wait a few hours and this deliciousness will appear!
You better go get some apples right now and start on this masterpiece. You won’t be sorry!
