Apple Spice Pancakes

Apples, apples, apples! Let’s get creative–this is a great fall recipe (although I love it any time of year…)

1 ½ cups complete pancake mix (just add water kind)—I used whole wheat but any kind is fine.

1 cup water

1 apple, peeled and grated

½ cup applesauce

1 teaspoon cinnamon

½ tsp. vanilla

In a medium bowl, stir all ingredients until combined. Pour batter into pancakes  on a hot griddle that has been sprayed with non-stick spray or lightly greased. Cook until browned on both sides. Serve with butter sauce, syrup, or any favorite toppings.

Get ingredients together…
You will need to grate your apple.
Core and peel it first though!
Here it is all grated up and ready…
Throw everything into a bowl. Okay, don’t really throw it cuz that would make a huge mess so put it in nicely…
Stir it all together…
Look at those–is your mouth watering?
Make a smiley face. You can make one on the pancakes too! I used peanut butter. So much yum!
